Advantages: It is simply one of the finest pieces of music ever written Disadvantages: How dare you ask of any disadvantges!?!
..., don't be alarmed. It's only me"; it is this melody that playwright J.B. Priestley used in "The Linden Tree" to signify the nostalgic world that is gone forever; and it is this melody that every single time brings tears to my eyes at the end of the film "Hilary and Jackie." The cello then takes the melody with flutes and clarinets giving gentle, one-phrased support. The violins come over the cello that continues to expand the thought, the soloist finally reaching out with an anguished and crying take on the melody, reaching a see-sawing climax higher and higher, after which the full orchestra shouts out the entirety of their grief for all to hear in a tremendous crescendo. This passage over the cello quietly takes the theme down to a whisper, thus bringing the exposition to a close.
The development section hears a short, sad woodwind...

Advantages: One of the best soundtracks I've heard! Disadvantages: None!
...part, as is the movie itself (for those who don't know, "Finding Neverland" is about the author, J.M. Barrie, who wrote the infamous "Peter Pan"). For example, a track like "Dancing With the Bear" helps you picture exactly some sort of imaginary situation as J.M. Barrie did at that point in the film (as he danced with his dog, imagining it was a bear).
Even if you haven't seen the movie, this soundtrack is still definitely worth buying. You can always listen to it no matter your mood. I would classify it as 'classical' if I had to. It's great to put on in the background, or to sit and listen to unwind. It pretty much caters to feelings at any time, any place.
Instrumentally, it's very focused on violins/cellos, etc. But with many wind instruments also, which gives it that fantasy feeling throughout. There is also quite a bit of piano...
