Advantages: An impressive first step into rock 'n' roll Disadvantages: Not all the songs are original, but they are well covered anyway
...in a day, which although thought outstanding today was a more common practice in 1963. The record company were desperate to rush it out to capture the teenage market before another craze started.
The first song, " I Saw Her Standing There" was the perfect introduction to the Beatles, beginning with a simple count-in by Paul McCartney, it is reminiscent of a cosy lyric trade-off between John and Paul. Musically unpolished and introducing the now-renound falsetto "ooos" of the Beatles, this signalled the start of a very familiar sound for the next decade's releases.
The second song, "Misery" was possibly the most cheerful song about eenage angst ever heard, and was a song turned down by HelenShapiro a week earlier; the Beatles not having enough power to capture the star's attention yet.

Advantages: Great voice, interesting range of songs, uplifting Disadvantages: Depends of what you are willing to listen to
...HelenShapiro burst into the public eye in 1961at the tender age of 14 with number one hits 'You Don't Know' and 'Walking back to Happiness'. A quarter of a century later, her life changed dramatically when she became a Messianic Jew, ie a Jew who believes that Jesus is the Messiah, sometime called a Jewish Christian.

The Three EPs will dominate the CD player, becoming somewhat of an obsession, with each listen revealing some brilliant...
