...This compilation is great. There is not one song on it that I do not know. Blondie was one of my favourite groups when I was growing up and I still love listening to them. Steve Harley's Make me smile is one of my all time favourite songs. You can play this cd and you are guaranteed that at least one will appeal to everyone. There are love songs for the romantics, rock songs like Devil Gate Drive by suzi quatro for the rebels, and boogie songs for the dancers out there. I would definately recomend ths CD to anyone looking for something you can sing along too at anytime. I play music to make the ironing seem fun and dance it away quicker! Buy it NOW!!... Read review

Advantages: Very inexpensive album set.
Disadvantages: You may already have some of the many tracks.

...This compilation consists of a ten, yes TEN CD boxed set, each CD having 20 tracks all original recordings. At a total cost of £19.95 in most high street record stores that works out at only £2.00 per CD which is pretty good value by my reconning. I actually bought it as I set a lot of quizzes and thought it would be good for music round setting which of couse it is but it actually good to play at parties etc, many of my friends remarking on the good quality and the variety of songs. There is a good range of artistes on the CDs from both sides of the Atlantic. there are many "classic" songs as well as some that you may have forgotten but are pleased to hear again after many years. ...Whilst in Blackpool earlier this year I was in one of these music shops you know the ones which sell all the older music as opposed to HMV etc who sell up to date stuff. I came across this one No 1 hits of 70s it is a very retro style cover as it is brown circles with the figure one in white and other writing in black. The 70s were a great decade for funky disco music, glam rock etc. I know there are a lot of this sort of CDs on the market and to be honest many of them hold the same tracks but for £3.99 it was a bargain buy for me.
