Advantages: Brilliant music; great lyrics; overall an amazing album. Disadvantages: Far too short with only eleven songs.
...and keyboard arpeggios lead to a chorus with gut-wrenching vocals and brilliant use of chord progression. The music suits the lyrics fairly well, and for once the lyrics aren't particularly dark or twisted! Astounding! This was also released as a single.
3. Space Dementia
The next offering, 'Space Dementia' does take a few listens to get used to. Once heard several times, you can begin to appreciate the fantastic piano playing and helium-filled vocals. Rachmaninov's influence over Bellamy is evident here, as the rolling piano takes its course through space. Escalation is a key theme of this song, as at the end, there is a simply mind-blowing wall of sound, making you grip onto your chair until the end. Advantages: Searing, dark, spaious alt.rock Disadvantages: Too dark and spacious for many

Advantages: Original music, lyrics and playing Disadvantages: A tad moody sometimes.
.... The opening tracks are fast and generally quite heavy - even without guitar (Space Dementia) - although never too heavy to be unlistenable. The album slows down towards the end, however, as classic tracks like 'Feeling Good' add a little more of a melancholy vibe to the album.
Overall, although this album took a while to grow on me, I think its an absolute peach, and would recommend it to anyone who listens to 'rock' music - of any genre....
