Review of I Will Cure You - Vic Reeves by holtythelad

Advantages: Great Music, Daft lyrics.. the boy can sing!
Disadvantages: None

...If you like Vic Reeves and his 'zany' sense of humour, then you'll like this album. 'I Will Cure You' is full of witty, clever, often humerous and frequently silly lyrics such as .. 'I held your hand whilst you had a wee, Splish, splosh, splash the urine up against a tree. You shook your penis and where the droplets fell, Grew a beautiful woodland glade.' (Summer of '75) 'Harry Seacombe wants his pie and peas baby' (Meals on wheels) But this isn't just a silly album like some of your dad's Baron Knights records, it contains some seriously good tunes such as the hit Dizzy (with the Wonder Stuff) and a dance version of the classic Pre FA Cup Final hymn 'Abide With Me'. I have this album on vinyl and its one of my most treasured posessions. It will cure you. NH... Read review

Doctor Who Soundtrack series 3 Review
Review of Doctor Who: Original Television Soundtrack (Series 3) - Various Artists by Chrishutchy

Advantages: Murray Golds Best Work
Disadvantages: Nothing I can think of

...is one of my favourites as it plays when the Doctor remembers out his past and his long gone home planet Galifrey at its prime of deep red grass and burnt orange sky. Also there's 3 vocal songs included, there's Abide with Me which is a Christian hymn which is sung in the middle and end of gridlock as the people of New New York's song meaning to stick together and get though this. Plus there's "My Angel put the Devil in Me" sung by Yamit Mamo which is a 1920's musical style song which should have been released as a single because it could have topped the charts I believe. And that also proves the Murray Gold can also write lyrics as well as soundtracks! Finally the last vocal is "The Stowaway" again performed by Yamit, which was played on the 2007 Christmas special "Voyage of the Damned". So to conclude this album well deserves a listen...
