...the night. It's very difficult to pigeon hole NMA's music. It tends to be catagorized as goth which is fine by me, but it doesn't quite sit properly there. NMA have a sound which is purely their on. The only other band who have this claim, in my opinion, is The Cult. How many other bands have a mandolin player. New Model Army does. NMA's music is very bass heavy but not in the same way as death metal. They also make a lot of use of minor chords. Even the drum is used a a melodic instrumrnt in it's on right rather than just for percussion. Raw Melody Men was recorded at various venues in 1990 and contains 16 of the tracks performed on that tour. 1 - WHIRLWIND This song is about the struggle of the underdog against a much stronger power. Advantages: Incredibly Original, Great riffs, Tims cool voice, Catchy tunes
Disadvantages: 23 tracks - too long, shoulda cut off the 5 weakest ones, could do with a few solos

...as well relationship stuff bad stuff - not as good "...and out come the wolves" - few average songs eg tenderloin, gunshot, name.....well nobody's perfect - You may have to get used to Tim's "scratched throat" voice. (if you've heard of the distillers youll notice Tim's ex wife Brody's voice sounds exactly like his. weird hey? well maybe she didnt leave him for another guy? maybe he threw her out coz her balls were bigger than his?) Anyway, whether you're into punk or not get this album! If you only have one song to listen to, make it Radio or Salvation.
