Advantages: Quality Production, Wonderful Design, Great Music Disadvantages: Poor information about the artist's background
...I first heard Afro Celt Sound System by accident on an HMV store. I was fascinated by the fact that they managed to marry two completely different kinds of music, traditional Irish with modern dance music. Of course, I immediately bought their Album. This was the first one they have ever issued. The second album, which is in question is even better, regarding the fact that it is more experimental and also includes some interesting collaborations. Especially the song where Sinead O' Connor is singing is brilliant. I would recommend this album to anyone who is interested in listening to new sounds, experimenting with music, and also to people who are fascinated by the Irish culture. It is an absolute MUST to anyone who considers him/herself a fan of Irish music. I can't wait to listen to their new album and seeing them live some time...

Advantages: Excellent Music Disadvantages: None
...If you like dance music then this is the one for you!
This album is fantastic and had me dancing around for hours.
Its got new dance songs and even old songs remixed. This should be most peoples cup of tea, as it has a various mix of songs on the cd.
It comes with 2 packed discs of dance music, including Flip and Fill, Scooter and Ian Van Dahl.
You dont actually get a booklet inside the CD, but there is the index on the back that tells you all the songs on the album.
This album is pure class, if you are a fan of dance music in the slightist then you should definatly purchase this album. You wont be dissapointed at all....

Advantages: Great first album, original and fresh Disadvantages: Last half of second album is terrible

Listening to it was literaly made me sit up and pay attention because I hadn't heard anything like it before. Of course I had heard sobre celtic lamemts and stylized cliched "Rainbow Nation" african beats (yuck in both cases) before, but the Afro-Celts succesfully blended the two into an upbeat album, filled with up-temp dance tracks and atmospheric mood music. There were on or two tracks with Celtic and African vocal just interweaving and sounding totally natural. There wasn't a single weak track on the first album. The second album, Release, was a slightly different affair. It sounded more stylized and better produced. The first half...
