So begins the chilling tale of Abigail, conceived, composed and recorded by evil genius KingDiamond; a Danish export, although one that's significantly less successful than bacon.
If the idea of some Scandinavian buffoon jumping about dressed like an outlandish vampire in the Christopher Lee stylee, while brandishing a crucifix purportedly made of human bone and pretending to invoke evil spirits amuses you as much as it does me, then read on. KingDiamond is, undoubtedly, yer man.

...Synopsis
Act 1: Die Fledermaus (The Bat) is set in the Eisenstein family home in Vienna in the 1890s. Gabriel von Eisenstein has been sentenced to prison for a minor offence. He bids farewell to his wife, Rosalinde, and her servant, Adele, “To part is such sweet sorrow”. He is about to go when his friend Falke persuades him to go to a ball at Prince Orlofskys instead, "Come with me to a supper." Falke has concocted an elaborate plan to get revenge on Einstein for a previous practical joke in which Falke was abandoned in a public park dressed as a bat drunk and sleeping. Falke has also secretly invited Rosalinda, Adele and the Prison Warden. Einstein departs, supposedly to prison, and Alfred a former admirer of Rosalinda appears and sings of his love, “Drink my darling, drink to me”. ...3 Inches Of Blood wanted to make a 'classic' metal album. They hired a classic metal producer Neil Kernon and the result was Advance and Vanquish, which was released near the end of 2004.
This is their second album, the first being Battlecry Under A Winter Sun in 2003.
