Advantages: Some of Above & Beyonds best work! Disadvantages: Might not satisfy all die-hard trance music fans
...As a fan of Above & Beyond's work before this release, I couldn't wait to get my hands on their debut album, 'Tri-State'.
More chillout than the Anjunabeats Volume compilation albums, this is perhaps more ideal for those dance music fans who prefer to drift away while enjoying the music, rather than raving. 'Can't Sleep' and 'Alone Tonight' are two smash club hits, with simple but effective vocals, and with great breakdowns for those 'hands in the air' moments.
If you're looking for a track to float away to, look no further than 'Home' and 'Good For Me', the latter's club mix later voted as the track of the 2006 on Armin van Buuren's famous A State Of Trance radio show. Advantages: Overall good album Disadvantages: Too many slow beats
...The Above the Rim soundtrack is a good album for people who like rap and R and B music. Even though the original film was about basketball, it does not matter if you do not like basketball as you can still enjoy this album. It has some good tracks on there by artists such as Tupac Shakur and Snoop Doggy Dogg and the Dogg Pound Gangstas. The tracks vary from slow beats to faster ones but there are quite a lot of slow beat ones so it depends if you like these kind of songs. The artwork is quite good with some good photos as well. The inside cover leaflet has the details of who wrote the songs etc. In conclusion, it is an overall good album....

...Released in 2002 on Sony Records, Hundred Reason's debut album 'Ideas Above Our Station' arrived with much expectation having laid down strong credentials on the underground scene. What was heard showed that they were geniunely talented musicians.
Opening track 'I'll Find You' showcases almost perfectly their music style; progressive, alternative music. An hypnotic drumbeat over jumpy guitar riffs and raw vocals. It may sound like a bit of a mess to someone who hasn't heard it from this description, but it all gels perfectly.
'Answers' is the kind of track that 'grows' on the listener. The quiet verses and loud choruses meet the criteria of rock music perfectly. Vocal melodies work excellently here during the bridge, with a superb, punchy chorus finalé
The third track, 'Dissolve', again shows the bands use of just vocals...
