After almost two years absence from the music scene, indie rockers Muse, hit back with their latest album; Absolution. Matthew Bellamy has finaly broken through, and has redefined the sound of Muse. Going from the delightfully haunting sound of Showbiz, and carrying on to the melodic tunes of Origin Of Symmetry, Absolution removes itself from anything ever done before, with it's completely unique, and powerful sound. Encompassing the rocky sound of guitar solo's, and the enchanting piano parts, Bellamy completely outdoes himself with this token of musical genius.

Every song in the album flows beautifully, from the extremely powerful start, from Apocalypse Please, to the slightly slower, grim sounds of Rule By Secrecy. A great improvement from the slightly schizophrenic sound of Showbiz, the songs start to follow very niceley on their latest piece of work. The incredibly loud sounds of songs such as The Small Print, and Stockholm Syndrome, and continuing to the loud, powerfull sound of songs such as Sing For Absolution and Butterflies and Hurricanes, Matthew Bellamy wails about how the universe is such a small thing, and the only thing that even comes close to a love song is the beautiful Falling Away With You, which even has a gloomy story within the lyrics. All of the Plug In Babies and Sunburns of the past have been pushed aside, to make room for this brand new sound that has been produced from the the Devon trio. Matthew Bellamy starts by crooning that 'It's time, we saw a miracle', and with this album, I think we truly have.
