...To be honest, I am not at all a fan of Eric Clapton! And to be quite honest, being only 18 myself I don't even know who Delaney and Bonnie are. I am told by my dad that they were part of a group called Delaney and Bonnie and friends which once featured many different people, like, the genius that is Eric Clapton.
I accidentally started listening to this as it was on random in my dad's CD changer in his car. The duo were amongst the first few white artists in the R'n'B Genre. Their most popular Charted Hits today are ' Never ending Song of Love' and 'Only you and I know'. They often had an extra to sing with them, so they became popularly known as 'Delaney, Bonnie and Friends'. Friends which regularly sung with them include, George Harrison, Eric Clapton and King Kurtis.
The Couple went on tour with Eric Clapton in the late 60s. They supported Claptons band 'Blind Faith', though it is said Clapton became more of a fan of them then his own group. So he later...
