Advantages: good remixes Disadvantages: a few weak links
...and the angst ridden becomes furious. ‘With You’ has changed form a frustrated expression of torment to a hopeful statement of intent with the inclusion of new lyrics by Aceyalone.
Compared to other remix albums reanimation holds its own, however it’s not quite up to the standard of Hybrid Theory, I couldn’t sit down and listen to this album without reaching for the skip button a couple of times which is a shame as Reanimation tries hard but is let down by a few week links such as ‘Runaway’. However there are a couple of absolutely outstanding tracks namely ‘Crawling’ remixed by Mike Shinoda and featuring vocals by Aaron Lewis and ‘My December’ remixed by Mickey P and featuring Kelli Ali.
Reanimation s defiantly recommended for the dedicated Linkin Park fan and those who really enjoyed the Hybrid Theory Album.

Advantages: Some stomping anthems. Disadvantages: They try too hard to be clever.
...Moloko are Eclectic, deliberately so. But being eclectic and deliberately obtuse, using found sounds and putting in little "interludes" doesn't win you any friends if the end result isn't any good.
Those expecting a full complement of singles are going to be disappointed. "Sing It Back" shouldn't even be on here (as it originally featured on I Am Not A Doctor, Moloko's last record) and is clearly a marketing ploy included to shift units, which I'm sure it will do.
Pure Pleasure Seeker and The Times Is Now are fantastic, as is Sing It Back (even if it is the musical equivalent of a repeat...) but you can get them on a compilation with a whole bunch of better tracks. Moloko spent too much time trying to be clever - and the end result is so mixed as to render the whole effort somewhat pointless....

Advantages: Mansion On The Hill Disadvantages: The Thrills Have Gone
...I was not surprised to find that this Album had not been opinionated. For if you have not heard of the Alabama 3, then you are a member of the vast majority who have not. Their music is best described, in their own words, as Acid House Gospel Country Music. As you can imagine with a musical background like this, they are also eccentric, eclectic, and surreal.
The Band (Of which there are eight, and not three) are a bizarre mix. With the lead vocals led by Larry Love and The Very Reverend Dr. D. Wayne Love of the First Prelysterian Church of Elvis the Divine (UK) – Yes, that is his real name, and he is a Minister for the Church of Elvis – with the band promoting their Let’s Buy Missippi Fund. This is a band, like the KLF, that know how not to take themselves too seriously.
That does not mean their songs...
