Album Notes: Personnel: Phil Lewis (vocals, guitar); Brent Muscat (guitar, background vocals); John Juster (keyboards); Eric Stacy, Adam Nury (bass); David Moreno (drums, background vocals).
Advantages: Great use of instruments as ever Disadvantages: The score can get boring.
...I won't deny that I am a big Phil Collins fan. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this album. I had seen the film and immediately ordered the album off an American website, as it hadn't been released here at the time.
The album is comprised of a set of songs by Phil and then some of the score from key movie moments.
The tracks by Phil are the ones which had my undivided attention though.
Two Worlds, along with You'll Be In My Heart, is one of the key tracks from the film and is one of my faves as well. It has that great Phil feel to it. Smooth, untainted melody with rousing instrumentals.
You'll Be In My Heart, the other main track and the single release, isn't one of my faves. This is the one that was obviously aimed more at the ladyfolk. Very soft, loving song, built around the whole broody female theme!
My faves are Trashin...

All in all, this is a very good album and is better than their Seconds Out live album in which I feel Phil Collins had still not quite found his feet as a frontman for the band.
Play it loud!
PS This review is based on the UK release which featured 4 sides (2 CDs) of live Genesis rather than than the US release....

Undeniably good Review ofWild Frontier [Remastered] - Gary Mooreby

Advantages: Gary Moore comes into his own Disadvantages: I had to admit I was wrong about him
...I've always been on the fence as far as Gary Moore is concerned, I think it's because of how alike he sounds to Phil Lynott and I can't decide if that's a good or bad thing.
There's definately no denying it though, this album ROCKS. At first I was dubious to listen to it, after being told by my dad how 'great' it was. But after listening to it, I couldn't help admitting how much I loved it.
This time, I didn't mind his likeness to Phil, sure he has the same tone of voice, the same accent, but how he projects and produces his music is completely different. It's more rugged, more of a blues sound, something completely its own.
'Over The Hills And Far Away is by far my favourite song of the whole album. It reminds me of a book, because it tells a story. It keeps you interested and as soon as you hear the first line you're hooked because...
