Advantages: A very fine collection of his best songs. Disadvantages: A basic inlay cover sleeve.
...a cross between country and crooner. This is in part because of his Baritone voice and in part because of the slow gentle endearing pace of many of his songs.
His recordings were in the days when most songs ran to only around 2 minutes 30 seconds in length yet despite this you can enjoy such classics as "Welcome ToMy World" (probably his signature tune), "AccordingToMyHeart", "Distant Drums", "He'll Have To Go", "Four Walls" and "I Love You Because".
If you want the perfect music to relax to on the sun lounger or whilst reading the Sunday papers or for a romantic meal with your loved one then this is the album for you.

Advantages: Nice mix of styles and themed songs.Upbeat.Has some covers of old pop songs some might like. Disadvantages: Unforgettable-generic pop at best.Nothing special musically, lyrically or vocally.
...What can I say, if you thought I was unkind about Will Young (who I actually do like 10 times better than Gareth Gates) then perhaps don't read any further.
Gareth Gates, who competed with Will Young in Pop Idol, was later signed by Simon Cowel. And although I am not a fan, I think this was a good business move. This is about as nice as I can be about Gareth Gates' musical career. I think die hard teeny bopper pop fans will have appreciated the efforts of Gates, but as far as him having any longevity in his career, I dont think it is likely.
In this album he covers 'Unchaned Melody' and to his credit, he can sing in tune, but his voice (though melodic) is highly regular and unimpressive. There really isn't anything memorable or distinguishable about it (unlike Will Young-who at least has a clearly distinguishable voice). I...

Advantages: A hilarious take on the world Disadvantages: Disadvantages??!
..."The World AccordingTo Clarkson" is a hilarious compilation of articles taken from Jeremy Clarkson's weekly column in the Sunday Times from the beginning of 2001 through to the end of 2003.
...Oh, and don't think just because it's Clarkson that's it filled with merry quips on cars, cars and more cars...it's not, so don't be deterred, and even those that love his work with BBC's Top Gear, you'll want to read on too...
As the blurb on the back of the books states, "Clarkson has seen rather more of the world than most..." but with that in mind, the first of his 81 articles focuses on him being stuck at home, bored out of his mind due to a bank holiday!!
His use of linguistic techinques in writing - you know, metaphors and similes etc, are indentical to his presenting style on Top Gear, which is a pleasant thing to note when...
