I am a huge music fan, I have been since I was old enough to listen and since that day, I have had a diverse music taste, I cannot pin point my favourite genre and I find music very uplifting & I especially love music in films. So, did you, like me, love the music used in Uma Thurman & John Travolta's dancing scene in 'Pulp Fiction', did you feel Donna Summer's 'Hot Stuff' dancing scene in 'The Full Monty' was great, did you love the hustle soundtrack to 'Lock, Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels'? Are you a Film Four fan? If you can answer yes to any of these questions, I am certain you'd find something you like on this album. Essential Soundtracks was released back in 1999, the second year of my A-levels and I bought this CD in Woolies for a mere £4.99 for a 40 track double CD, I purely bought this for the more trendy numbers from ...

Advantages: Good Classic Hip-Hop Songs

As most of you will know, Kiss, the popular radio station and music channel are always bringing out various artist Rap/Hip-Hop and also R'n'B collections. This Hip-Hop classics is one of Kiss's most recent presentations. With 2 discs, there are some great hip-hop classics thrown into this collection. Whether you are a hip-hop fan or not, you will know most, if not all of these hip-hop classics from the 90's and some even earlier. This collection is a 2 disc set, which has 19 songs on each disc. Kiss Presents Hip Hop Classics

Advantages: Good mixture of tracks, appeals to a large audience
Disadvantages: Some bad track selections

A fairly solid CD offering a diverse range of hip hop tracks from the real old skool classics from KRS-One, Sugarhill Gang and Grand Master Flash & The Furious Five to some of your more well known and newer artists such as Eminem LL Cool J and Outkast. IT has tracks that appeal to all ears and is quite inciteful into the world of hip hop both from old times and new. However, some of the tune selections do not perhaps show the true essence of hip hop and I'm astonished that they made it onto the CD. Ja Rule and Ashanti, are they crazy! Some better tracks could have been included. Overall a good CD for the type that it is and there's mainly quality tracks from your favourite artists and some old skool tracks that you may not have already. ...
