...I liked this album very much, in most of the song's the guitar playing and the guitar solo's were great. The cover also had a unique design. Compared to other albums this album doesn't feature many songs, The tracks on this album are: 01 Magaya, 02 Dancing with the muse, 03 The joy of this longing, 04 Marionette, 05 The new west, 06 Shahzada, 07 Remain in motion and 08 Invisible hands, i particually enjoy listing to "Magaya" over and over again. The front of the album is just a very basic picture of Chris Spheeris with just a normal font for a title. Even though that the album design is very basic it still stands out to me. Overall i would recomend this album for people who like relaxing and listening to music thanks for reading!... Read review

Advantages: Great sixties classics.
Disadvantages: Too varied to play as an album.

.... This has the original and best Percy Sledge song (best to forget the Michael Bolton cover). Groovin’ is a very relaxed motown tune with a nice harmonica melody throughout. The album ends with the full length version of Adagio for strings including the Charlie Sheen narration from the film. This is a good compilation of late 60s songs. I wish it were a little larger. It would also be nice to have an un-tampered version of Adagio for strings. This is probably best for putting on individual tracks when you’re in the mood as it a short and very varied album. There are two other CDs released by the composer Georges Delerue called Platoon. One features the original score of Platoon (1987), the other his original scores of both Platoon and Salvador (1995), including some music that was written for but never used in the film. Advantages: Everything you could ever want from a classical CD
Disadvantages: none

...I have purchased and listened to many types of music and as a classical pianist always like to explore new CD's. This album has so many classics on it and is delightful to listen to. Did you know that opening music in 2001 - A Space Odyssey was from Also Sprach Zarathustra by Strauss or that the background music in the British Airways TV commercial was the Flower Duet from the opera Lakme? This compilation album is perfect whether you are a lover of classical music or just interested to find out what it is all about. The track listing shows what can be expected on this wonderful CD. 1.
