Advantages: good quality tracks Disadvantages: not popular here in the UK
...Eve 6 are an american band that i know almost nothing about! i have just heard all of their latest album (horrorscope)and its pretty damn good!
I heard one of their tracks a while back and it was nothing special! Along with many bands they are evolving with the current music scene. they are loosing that heavy grunge rock edge and producing more commercial sounds!
Check out this album and this band cos they may never make it in the UK market thats pre-occupied by Ms B. Spears and crappy boy bands!
heres your chance for decent music!...

Advantages: Eve and LOX are mostly sharp / Sharp lyrics, Good flow, Some Good production Disadvantages: Some CORNY production, BLUNT choruses / TOO MANY Guest Appearances
...). But at the same time, I needed to watch out for Eve's SHARP STING that is a combination of her tight delivery, mixed with natural rapping talent.
1. INTRO (0:18 min)
(Not a music track)
Well, the INTRO of the 'SCORPION' album doesn't get off to the sharpest of starts here. Eve wastes 18 seconds of the track just to ask this - '....Y'all ni**as think this is a f**kin game?....'. If any music album is to be considered a CLASSIC, the INTRO should start off with some REAL music that gives an introduction to the artist's subject matter (for example listen to Jay Z's Reasonable Doubt). A brief, introductory TALKING simply doesn't get a rap music fan interested - but this is what Eve does here. As far as I can remember, most music reviewers DO NOT speak highly of short, pointless intros to an album.
Jay "Icepick" Jackson produces the background...

Advantages: A dozen outstanding tracks Disadvantages: Rosebud.
...Ryan Adams and who? Does he need a backing group? Obviously, yes. Team work at its best, musicianship at its best and songwriting at its best.
A two disc gem. 18 tracks that fail to disappoint and 2 bonus tracks that would make any other artist proud. From the thoughtful Sweet Illusions to the subline Meadowlake Street, to the urban sounding Beautiful Sorta; the list is endless. And that's just the first half of the first CD.
Outstanding tracks are hard to single out but at a push I would say Sweet Ilusions, the title track Cold Roses and Dance All Night. Oh, and the bonus track Tonight (which just makes me giggle). Only Rosebud leaves me cold.
If joining forces with the Cardinals brings about an album of this calibre then I think Ryan Adams alliance with them was perhaps a very wise move....
