Disadvantages: could have been more varied

...Bryan Adams has been making albums for an age now and you worry if anything he releases will represent anything significantly different to warrant a purchase. This album is certainly more of the same from Adams, and as such nothing really stands out but all the songs are good and easy to listen to. The very familiar soft rock style is evident throughout, but Adams does add a greater element of pop making a lot of the tunes that more catchier for example in the excellent ?When You?re Gone? with Mel C. There are also a fair number of slower moving ballads in line with Adams previous work such as ?Cloud Number Nine? and the soothing ?Inside Out.? This is another good album from Adams, not outstanding, but he shows that he still knows how to make music.... Read review

...the album is so good to listen to and the songs all sound good. it is one of the only albums i listen to fully. it contains songs like 1. Adam's Song [Radio Edit] 2. Going Away to College [Live] 3. Adam's Song [Live] 4. Wendy Clear [Live] the songs are mostly the same but of different versions. the genre is rock and has a clsoe resmebelance to some pop intertwined with the rock in the songs. the guitarring is good and the drumming even better. the lyrics are explicit but thats what adds to the general atmosphere of the songs. it is a single, and so only gives a few songs, and so it cannot really be compared to the other albums.... Advantages: Some well written songs
Disadvantages: Not as good as the others.

...'Into the fire' is a CD containing 10 songs. The songs are well written and have good meaning but still this CD is my least favourite of the whole Bryan Adams collection. Most of the songs are mellow, slow and thoughtprovoking but poor in the style that Bryan Adams is associated with. I'm not sure why this CD consisted of these type of tracks, only than to speculate on a certain amount of disillutionment or new direction tried. Some people may like the CD but I think the Bryan Adams purist would not.... Read review
