Advantages: Best album ever
Disadvantages: its not a party record!!

...personal to Richey and his depression with lines such as “Scratch my self with a rusty nail” showing his self-abuse showing this. The Intense humming of evil This song opens up with a long passage possibly from the Nuremberg trials and sets the scene for this miserable song about the Holocaust and concentration camps. The song also has an eerie musical intro with a weird warbling whistling noise. Not the greatest song on the album, it does not seem to fit all together in one piece. It is quite a slow song but the music feels like a machine cranking up when it starts and when it finishes you here what sounds like a steam train slowly pulling up. Sweet and powerful
Review of Sweet Fanny Adams [Remastered] - Sweet (The) by JOHNV

Advantages: Good hard rocking album that showed a new side of the band
Disadvantages: None

...This album from 1974 was Sweet's first major shot at being taken more seriously as a credible rock band instead of mere bubblegum puppets. Mostly self-penned, it didn't quite convert disbelieving music critics, but fellow musicians - notably Pete Townshend - began to see beyond the image and respect their abilities. In retrospect it still stands up as a very good album. Most of the tracks have the hallmarks that made their singles so good, with hooky choruses, gutsy driving power ("No You Don't" is as fierce as anything the Stones were doing at around that time), and dynamic guitar work from Andy Scott that showed he was the equal of any of his contemporaries. The production is great as well - listen to the phasing on the opener "Set Me Free", and the thump of Mick Tucker's drums on "Restless". The adventurous "Sweet FA" is around 6... Read review

Man a ribald rake, Man is Nature's sole mistake
Review of Best Of Gilbert & Sullivan, The - D'Oyly Carte Opera Chorus & Orchestra by Newfloridian

Advantages: Not well known but is an important bridge in the historic cycle
Disadvantages: Not well known and quite dated

...was engaged to be married to Gama’s daughter, Ida – and now is the time for this pledge to be honoured. There is great excitement in Hildebrand’s castle as Gama (twisted dwarf with a sarcastic wit), accompanied by his three sons (Arac, Guron and Scynthius – who are to say the least intellectually challenged), approaches but Ida is not with them. Gama explains that Ida has declared that she will have nothing to do with men and has set up a university in Castle Adamant for the education of like-minded young ladies. Hildebrand imprisons Gama and his sons while telling Hilarion to set out to claim Ida as his bride. Hilarion takes his two friends Florian and Cyril with him. Meanwhile Act 2 opens in Castle Adamant with Ida and her two associates – Lady Blanche and Lady Psyche – teaching their students such subjects as Humanities and Abstract Science... Read review
