Adam's Apple [Remastered] - Wayne Shorter

Advantages: The most incredible soulful and funky singer with an electro vibe at times
Disadvantages: Nothing shes a superstar

...Oh wow this funky lady is a super neo soul diva, Baduizm live is basically Baduizm but live believe it or not, on the face of it you think is it really worth buying but this lady is incredible, the passion in her voice you get and the intros on tracks make this a must have cd, and the track Tyrone is out of the world, compared to the likes of Corrine Bailey Rae, Jill Scott, Sunshine Anderson etc Erykah Badu blows their socks off, favorite tracks include on and on, rimshot, certainly, apple tree, other side of the game, searching and my personal favourite Ye Yo which starts with the most incredible haunting accapella - a must buy DO NOT think you have heard the best of Erykah by having the digitally remastered and cut and polished version!! you are in for a surprise....... Advantages: Beautiful and relaxing. An outstanding band.
Disadvantages: A little short.

...This 1969 Miles Davis effort was one of his first explorations of electric sounds, and it would have been understandable if he had stopped after this outstanding album. It is short, clocking in at only forty minutes, but what a forty minutes it is. The music has a great feeling of space and relaxation, and it has an ambient feel. This does not detract from the fine solo work that Miles, Wayne Shorter and the rest of the band, however. Tony Williams is in particularly fine form on the drum kit, and John McLaughlin's guitar work is sublime. If you have never experienced Miles' electric period before, this would be a perfect starting point, since it is groundbreaking without being overly challenging, like Bitches Brew.... Read review

Advantages: It is a decent new way to experience the Beatles
Disadvantages: Missing a few favourites, but that's not what the album's about

...The Beatles need no introduction. They were and are the most experimental and influencial band of all time. Simple. If you do not know much about the Beatles and are looking for an album to fill that void, then this is NOT what you need, not yet. By all means purchase 'Love' because it is a straight-out good listen. But I would advise the 'Beatles anthology' series from Apple to those who want to really experience the Beatles as a band (as well as the individual albums of course). 'Love' is an album of digitally remastered Beatles tracks. In some cases this means no more than a higher sound quality, but for this album it means a reshuffle of rhytms, a mixing of Beatles music and a jumbling up of patterns that ultimately lead to a fresh Beatles experience. I will not list the many plusses to this album, it would take some time... Read review
