Pure perfection
Review of Final Straw - Snow Patrol by
perry1
Advantages: Beautifuly constructed album
Disadvantages: None whatsoever!
...This album is pure perfection. Right from track one (the recently released How to be Dead) this album is able to blend each track effortnessly in to one all time great masterpiece. With such classics as the heart rendering "Run" and the lyrically superb "Chocolate" and "Sptitting Games" this is a must have album.
With a mix of uplifting and mood altering songs from the outset, "Final Straw" can be played time and time again. The soft lead vocals of Gary Lightbody, the engaging rifts and the outstanding lyrics have made this album an absolute classic in my opinion.
Since their debut album in 1998 as "Polar Bear", Snow Patrol have finally made their mark on the British and US music scene. Originally formed in 1994 through connections at Dundee University, "Final Straw" will be the third album from the boys that hail from Belfast.

The view are on Fire.
Review of Hats Off To The Buskers - View (The) by
bigdavesrave
Advantages: Catchy tunes
Disadvantages: N.T.R
...The view, tipped to be the next big thing by the sun newspaper. Legendary new band from Dundee Scotland. These young lads really have there heads screwed on when it comes to writing music as the album went straight to number one... Not bad for a new comer.. The released single 'Same Jeans' did not to bad in the charts aswell and is played on the radio constantly.. A definate must by if indie rock is ure fortae.. The band live are just as good and get a great energy from the crowd supporting bands like Babyshambles and fritellies, theyve already had there own show on MTV 'on tour with the view' and their album has only been released for 2 months. The song are really catchy and the lyrics are just so true to life that anyone can relate to what they are singing about.. It takes a prized position in my music collection and it should do...

The New 'Libertines'?
Review of Hats Off To The Buskers - View (The) by
Shimynor
Advantages: Fresh, easy to listen to.
Disadvantages: Nothing really.
...Well, where do I start with this amazing, new, band? I've heard many people call them the new 'Libertines', even though I don't really agree with this statement, I can still see where they are coming from.
This band is from Dundee, Scotland, they are new, fresh, and full of life. I have even had the priveledge to see them live and they were nothing short of breathtaking. The catchy bass lines, the blistering guitar riffs, good drumming and not the forget the cheeky lyrics from these young lads really make this band what they are.
This album doesn't lack of contrasting songs, some quick, noisy ones, some acoustic, and some laying in between them both.
I will definately be looking forward to hopefully seeing them again live in the near future, and definately I'll look out for any new material that they produce.
Overall - must buy...
