Advantages: Light years ahead of his rivals Disadvantages: The build up at the album's outset
...Ah, BT. It has been a voyage, hasn't it? Every so many years another one pops up from nowhere and my life is changed yet again. It's testament to such a talent that there's never any hype, you never know it's coming, and yet his music elicits such passion. I accidentally happened upon Emotional Technology, thinking Yes, it's about time, isn't it? and then could find it in only one store in the whole of Leeds. And as you hand over your money - instantly and with real anticipation - it makes you feel like part of a club, doesn't it?
His albums have matured over time, and in the vein of artists like Massive, each album has pushed the frontiers that little bit further back. 'Movement In Still Life' was a fantastic album with real staying power and tunes beautifully crafted to stretch your eyeballs to the limit, but I ultimately found...

Advantages: Good story concept linked into the music. Each track tells part of the story Disadvantages: Without the cd inlay I would have struggled to understand the whole story.

Based on a concept - the story of Victoria- Murder, dreams, and other imaginative ideas are linked into the music. The album starts with the ticking of a clock, and the voice of a physchiatrist speaking. This is a simple and effective start to the album. Track 2 - Overture 1928 is the only instrumental songs on the album and really shows what Dream Theater are capable of when twinning pop...

Advantages: Perfect music to relax to (",) Disadvantages: 10 songs is too short!
...In a music industry mostly devoid of passion and soul James Blunt is a shining light of a song writer.
The fact is that this young man is a deeply profound individual and seems wise beyond his few years. He writes with such power and emotion that one can't help but be touched by his work. The single "You're Beautiful" could be the creative zenith of his career. It an almost perfect moment of clarity and understanding and reaches you on such a personal and primitive level. His understanding of such basic yet ultimately defining emotions is almost unparalleled.
His chilled out style, is perfect for the power of his lyrics. Those who have heard the single won't be disappointed with the rest of the album which is in the same vain. The album is a journey, and unlike many albums have been described this way, "Back to Bedlam" deserves...
