With the help of Student Loans and the Internet I've managed to track down most of my favourite soundtracks, and this one was definitely worth the effort. Michael Kamen's awesome, rousing Robin Hood theme is a classic (worth buying the CD for on its own) and the rest of the CD is pretty much flawless as well. (The exception being the last track "Wild Times" - a song)
You get all the familiar music here, making it easy to picture each scene from the film: Robin's Escape, The Confrontation with Little John, The Climactic Rescue, Maid Marian At The Waterfall, etc. Unfortunately, the CD isn't that long and I think there is some music missing.
Buy this CD and you won't be disappointed, unless you are after the complete score which isn't available anywhere anyway. (If you like Michael Kamen, he also did the soundtrack to the truly fantastic Iron Giant.)
Note: Bryan Adams' song "Everything I Do I Do It For You" is on this CD. This could be an advantage or disadvantage depending on your tastes.
