Ocean Colour Scene do it again - badly
Review of B Sides Seasides And Free Rides - Ocean Colour Scene by yhwman

Advantages: It's limited edition, so one day I may be able to sell it and make some money
Disadvantages: Everything else about it

...I bought this album not to long after buying Moseley Shoals, at that point Moseley Shoals was all I had heard by Ocean Colour Scene so I was still under the impression that they were a good band. As it was a limited edtion CD I decided to take a chance on it and buy it. Unfortunatly, like most of Ocean Colour Scene's material, B-Sides, Sea Sides and Free Rides is a collection of turgid, bland ballads. There are a few tracks that deviate from the standard Ocean Colour Scene way of doing things, but the chances are you will have drifted off to sleep before you get there.... Read review

Ocean Avenue
Review of Ocean Avenue - Yellowcard by ragamuffin2005

Advantages: quality new age rock with irish type twist
Disadvantages: not good if you dont like new rock music

...Ocean Avenue, A quality album from a somewhat disillusioned band. Their previous work was somewhat poor and I was not expecting this album to be so good. The album is consistent throughout, there being no weak links or terrible songs. The openers Way Away and Believe are fast in pace and get you into the album very well. The album quietens down slightly with Ocean Avenue and Empty Apartment which signify the beginning of lyrically styled punk opera surrounding a woman whcih is followed on to Only One and Miles Apart. The album ends with a excellent song leaving you feel somewhat moved, if you like the type of music and can understand the lyrics!!! Certainly a quality album and a surprise considering the inconsistentcy of their previous material.... Read review

Imagined Oceans
Review of Imagined Oceans - Karl Jenkins by 4Pilot7

Advantages: Original Karl Jenkins
Disadvantages: None

...Imagined Oceans is a brilliant selection of Music by Karl Jenkins, so before I say anything else I would recommend it to everyone to listen to at least some of the Tracks if not all. The Tracks on imagined Oceans are named after the Seas on the moon (Not that their are any real liquid seas on the moon but imagined ones by early astronomers looking up at the moons dark patches). Each tracks Music is meant to say somthing about the name of the sea or the area of the moon. The Ensemble accompanying the Music is the 'Karl Jenkins Ensemble' which creates a Harmonious background for the soloists; Pamela Thorby gives an excellent perfomance on the Recorder and Three Solo Singers Sarah Eyden, Micaela Haslam and Heather Cairncross sing the melody brilliantly. One thing I didn't realise untill I listened to the CD again was that the lyrics... Read review
