...Don't be put off by the title Missa Luba 'An African Mass' or think that it's 'too high-brow'! Missa Luba is a wonderful example of African rhythms and percussive instrumentation - drums and shaken gourds - with traditional African 'call and response' melodies together with additional harmonies. Based on the traditional Mass the work consists of just five tracks - Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, Agnus Dei - and is just over fifteen minutes long. The remainder of the recording consists of 10 Kenyan Folk Melodies. These too are as wonderful and refreshing as the Missa Luba . Ideal for the 'serious' listener, as background music or for those who wish to listen to something a little different. Go on. Give it a try; you will be glad you did. Advantages: Heavy as you like it, pounding drum beats, amazing riffs

...This is the second album from Zyklon. Tracks: 1. Psyklon Aeon 2. Core Solution 3. Subtle Manipulation 4. Two Thousand Years 5. No Names Above The Names 6. Prophetic Method, The 7. Specimen Eruption 8. Electric Current 9. Eclectic Manner The first track has become an anthem for fans of the Norwegian metallers. The apocalyptic lyrics and blast beats, as well as Destructhors impressively lightning-fast yet precise guitar work all compete for your attention, making each track interesting. The album is less of a musical landscape than the songs of Emperor (which share members with Zyklon, and Myrkskog) and has more of a death metal than a black metal feel to it. Trym as a drummer, it could be argued, is the fastest and most innovative. Whilst songs such as "Core Solution" and "Subtle Manipulation" primarily roar death metal at you... Read review
