...Play it LOUD - Various Artists After seeing the advert on TV regualary i bought the CD from a leading supermarket, this cost me about £11.99 and this was when it had just come out on the market, which i thought was a fair price for what you get, you get 2 cds, in a very nice decorated case which shows some fancy graphics with a man with headphones on listening to music looking up at the more well known band names on the cd's which are presented in bold capital writing, to give it a loud effect. ...Braindance Coincidence (various artists) is a collection of tracks from artist that are on Aphex Twins record label Rephlex. Aphex twin is probably the UK's most well known electronic musician, and these tracks follow in his footsteps. The tracks play on the idea of electronic sound and what can be done with it and so dont really follow a particular genre. There are styles taken from drum and bass, trance, dub, but they are fitted into the Rephlex mould which is generally described as being 'Glitchy, atmospheric, deep and mad'. If you are interested in and enjoy electronic music you will absolutely love this. It is filled to the brim with tracks, some which sound like they have been made using modern equipment, some which sound slightly older, but they all have that same feeling of spaced out electronica. ...Rephlexions (various artists) is the next installment of compilation albums on the Rephlex record label. It features another set of tracks by the key players on the label and is equally as good as the first compilation (Braindance (various artists)) The sounds are spaced out emotional and very original explorations of electronia. The CD kicks off with some mellow keys on which glitchy drum and bass future breaks are laid on top. The second tracks goes straight into a gentle industrial clanking atmosphere where a glimmering machine sits in a castle basement, blue light floods through the window in the middle of the night, the machine gets more energy as the track progresses.All the tracks seem to have concepts behind them waiting to be discovered.
