Review of Forever - Spice Girls by messsingh

Advantages: Many styles of music, well produced
Disadvantages: Slightly weak, not for mature tastes

...Being a Spice Girls fan from day 1, I was eagerly awaiting the release of the girls' third album, Forever. Having heard the first single from the album, Holler I didn't think I would be disappointed. On first listen of the album, I was disappointed. However, after a few listens the songs grew on me, and I was pleased that they had tried venturing into some r&b. Unfortunately, if you're music tastes are slowly maturing like mine, you will realise it isn't a revolutionary album. I do believe though, that if you are a Spice Girls fan, you will enjoy this album as it is well produced and has a mix of music including, catchy r&b, pop ballads and some dancy tunes. On the other hand, this album is no longer in my cd player, and the title is not appropriate as I believe it is the end of The Spice Girls.... Read review

In Between Dreams- A must own classic.
Review of In Between Dreams (Special Edition) [Digipak] - Jack Johnson by deanjwilliams

Advantages: Beautiful Chill out music.
Disadvantages: You may not listen to anything else- ever!

...Jack Johnson, just the romantic thought of one man with surf board in one hand, guitar in the other. blissfully he sings with delicate ease, his subjects love and life, surfing and relaxing by the beach. An eternally beautiful record, well crafted songs and a far stretch from the morose downbeat music which can be plied in modern day recording. With friends such as Ben Harper and a blinding performance at the Brits where he single handedly managed to out shine the might Prince armed with only his guitar and the excellent songs he sings. A new record available now, In between dreams is the start of a very bright productive career. Buy now or forever hang your head in shame. A must own to any experienced music lover. Resistance is futile.... Read review

In it for the money
Review of Forever - Spice Girls by schizochico

Advantages: None really
Disadvantages: Not enough tracks and there's no Spiceiness left

...Oh dear, oh dear. The Spice Girls were once five girls with a dream to be famous - they didn’t take themselves seriously and were here to have fun. Then one of them left, and only after her departure did she flourish into her own. The other four let the fame go to their heads, and were so desperate to cling on to the Spice Girls name they held on to it but did nothing, until people began to notice and they had to release some material. There is almost no Spice in here at all. Holler is the best song and that is the worst Spice single so far. Two years wait; just eleven tracks, rubbish photos, horrible people and no quality. Forever?- after poor commercial success by Spice standards, believe me - the split will be by the end of next year.... Read review
