...well where do i start this must be one of the greatest sound tracks to a movie ever, it contaisn the great voice of the diva ArethaFranklin to that of the young Robbie williams.
i recently went and saw the movie which i think is this years greatest film so far, and backgrond music was great, it helped to fuel the atmosphere in the movie.
so after going to town , i decided buy it, i decided to go to my favourite haunt for buying cd's (sainsburys), as i think this is the greatest place for cd's as they charge just 9.99 for a single cd.
so that is another good point for buying the album you get 19 songs fro just 9.99, that is just over 50p per song.
the album starts off with the brillant gaberielle singing the hit number, out of reach, then you go onto the soultress arethafranklin singing repsect , then going to the brillant song...

...the living soul geniuses, ( Her and Stevie, Brother ray, Sly, Prince,) she seems to have the least time enjoying her status. The most amazing and frustrating thing about Aretha is that for all the dumb stuff that has been written about her, her worst critic is herself. Although coming close in the early 70's, she could never build the self-esteem to maintain an artistic persona. Her greatest performances had become her prison, as she felt obligated to the whims of the audience that had given her so much love. And when her audience revolted against her afrocentric pop princess persona, she became an R&B chameleon; doing every flavor of the month style but her own, resulting in an artistic malaise that until only recently she's recovered from.
