Advantages: Pop perfection that should be bottled and sold Disadvantages: Three duff live tracks
...' as it has informed so much of modern pop music. In short, this is quite the masterpiece. Blondie deserve a place at pop's round table on the merits of 'Parallel Lines' alone. It is a shame that this album, and generally this band I feel, have been forgotten in the mists of time (despite a recent, underwhelming reunion) while rather over-rated bands like Aerosmith and U2 get the accolades and acclaim and Lifetime Achievement Awards a'plenty. Blondie are extremely under-rated, so you should dig out 'Parallel Lines' as soon as possible just to make you aware of how important this band are to modern music.
Blondie came at an important time in music. Punk had cleared the battlefield for a new wave of music and now it was time for something fresh and new. Until Blondie came, having a woman front a serious rock band was almost unheard of (the one...

Great Band Review ofTheir Finest Hour (And A Bit) - Thunderby
MattAinge
Advantages: Great British Rock Disadvantages: a Bit dated
...I recently saw this band in Bristol on th 29th January and was lucky enough to go to the after show. I met the guys and they are all fantastic people. This album shows some of there best work, and i would strongly recommend buying the album. Not only shows of the greatness of the band but, what it does among most things is shows there britishness and there loyalty to staying that way. Lyrically brilliant and great musicians. The bands main downside is that there music sounds dated, however good it may be the tracks needed to be updated before this release Despite this in terms of classic rock i feel that it stands high above other bands. Well Worth Buying....

...Keane are a 3 piece band hailing from Battle, Sussex, home to the battlefield of 1066.
Tom Chaplin (Vocals)
Tim Rice Oxley (Piano/Keyboards/Bass/Writer)
Richard Hughes (Drums)
Keane are a band that have hit the headlines in recent times with two successful singles and a number one album. They might still be new to a lot of people but they have been around for some time, they started out as a four piece band called 'The Lotus Eaters' in 1997. They changed their name to Keane (named after their nanny, Cherry Keane) and released their first two singles 'Call Me What You Like' and 'Wolf At The Door' in 2000 which both proved to be flops even though both are now changing hands for over 400 pounds each, at this time they were even supporting Chesney Hawkes of all people! Dominic the bass-guitarist left the band in 2001 due to the lack...
