Advantages: Fantastic new rock band, great attittude Disadvantages: Needs a few listens to appreciate fully.
...on the album.
My rating:4/5.
2. Rock and roll lies=One of my faves, good guitar riff and tone, and nice drums. My rating=4.5/5
3.Vice=Fantastic vocals, back up vocals. I think everything comes together in this song. From the drumbeat buliding up at the beginning to Jonny yelling L-O-V-E at the end i love this song.
My rating=5/5.
4.Up all night=Nice filler in, title track of the album but i cant figure out why. Good song, a pleasant listen, but not something i would deliberatly try and find. My rating=3/5
5. Which way is out-this song follows a similar pattern to the previous one, and is another very good song. My rating: 3.5/5
6. Rip it up- Cool song, follows similar razorlight build up patterns again. My rating=4/5
7. Dalston=Amazing, nice slow start and climaxs with burrell screaming about dalston or summat. Maybe a bit long saying the same...

Advantages: Indispensible 80's pop Disadvantages: none
...Released originally in 1982 and remastered recently with the addition of 8 bonus tracks, this effectively sums up the 1st stage of Soft Cell's career and is better than any best of compilation on the market.
The album highlights marc Almond's and Dave Ball's twin obsessions of good time disco dancing and seedy erotica merging them into a compelling blend.
Musically the songs are driven by Dave Ball's synths which hammer repetative rythmns adding lighter flourishes to make you want to dance over which marc sings in a distinctive, sometimes off key, torch song style about normal life and soho perversions.
The key song is obviously tainted love a monsster hit at the time , the album proper also contains the hit singles Bedsitter and Say hello wave goodbye whilst Torch and what are included in the bonus tracks - all unforgettable songs...

Fine Album Review ofCryptic Writings (Remastered & Expanded) - Megadethby
wellso
Advantages: Secret Place - Brill song Disadvantages: Some weak tracks
...Another great album by Megadeth as they continue to produce good music. There are a few weak tracks (e.g. "Mastermind") but apart from that there is something for everyone.
For meaningful lyrics, try "Use The Man" but for speed metal mayhem "fff" is better. My favourite song on the album has to be "A Secret Place" which is a metal masterpiece. If you don't like it there must be something wrong, cause Dave M has wrote a brillaint song.
I prefer the older, more heavu Megadeth, but this stuff is okay. I just hope the next album (After RISK) is the old Megadeth....
