After the Snow -
It's unfortunate that this band was branded a one-hit wonder due to its famous rebel-love

single "I Melt with You," contained on this album, because the remaining tracks are quite good as well: gripping and intelligent, a nostalgic pogo through scrawny...
Album Notes: Modern English: Robbie Grey (vocals); Gary McDowell (guitar); Michael Conroy (violin, bass); Stephen Walker (keyboards); Richard Brown (drums, percussion).
Advantages: The distinctive choices of songs; There's rock, ballad and accoustic on offering Disadvantages: They seem to have lost a bit of their earlier musical energy..perhaps with age?
...I Bought this album last June.
First thought-My favourite band :)
After first listen -and oh what an amazing album!
I Travelled through melodious galaxys as I heard the cd's marvellous offerings of chili pepper modern classics such as 'Dani California' and 'Snow.'
The beautiful bass guitar in 'snow' could surely get your heart melting. 'Storm in a teacup' sounds similar to the bands earlier material, with Anthony Kiedis sharing his strong voice through a megaphone.
'Flea's offerings are fantastic once again and the musical energy in this amazing album is brilliant.
Fans, you will not be dissapointed.
With a decreasing price , since the album has been out for a while, you cannot go wrong with buying this double cd album.
now c'mon everyone- 'TELL ME BABY..'...

Advantages: Good Songs, No Fillers Disadvantages: Old Songs in a New Package
...This album includes all the usual festive classics that you expect to hear droning from every department store and supermarket as from the middle of October every year. The up side to this album is that they haven't padded out the track list with lesser known songs which is great if you don't like having to keep skipping tracks. The downside is that there aren't many modern songs on here which is a shame given that this is a pretty modern release. The only up-to-date track is "Santa Baby" by Kylie Minogue and even that is simply a re-recording of a classic Christmas hit! The rest of the album consists of the usual festive tracks like "Do They Know It's Christmas?" by Band Aid and "Mistletoe and Wine" by Cliff Richard.

8. Grazed Knees - Feeder-esque. slow and sweet, with romanticised lyrics and a great strings section *****
9. Ways & Means - Rough and hurried ***
10. Tiny Little Fractures- Distorted guitar interspersed with great lyrics and inspired use of crackling effects and clapping. A personal favourite amoungst the others *****

13. We Can Run Away Now They're All Dead And Gone (UK Bonus Track) ****

On a final note, all that is left is to decide if it beats their new release? Oh yes, this is the best of Snow Patrol. Definitely worth a try....
