The Soft Machine was, essentially, a blanket name for four distinctly different bands - they started off as a pop/psychedelic combo similar to very early (ie pre-Piper At The Gates of Dawn) Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd, then drifted into the higher echelons of prog with their 1970 masterpiece Third, before becoming a fusion outfit (often dubbed Britain's answer to the Mahavishnu Orchestra) and ending their career as a distinctly British jazz band. ...Bad Religion churn out another classic album, this one dating from 1991. Coming after Suffer, Against The Grain, No Control, and How Could Hell Be Any Worse it has a lot to live up to . It shows a slight change ind irection with most songs clocking in at 3-4 minutes rather than the usual 2 min 10 seconds sort of tunes that they had done previously but its still the same quality melodic punk that many love. Features some great tunes such as Atomin Garden and the title track itself. Again, if you like Bad Religiopn you'll like this album !...
