Advantages: Interesting and original music, oldschool hip hop breaks Disadvantages: poor sound quality at times
...After reading many reviews of the Beastieboys I decided to go out and buy this album. Boy am I glad that I did! I did some research too about their past.
The BeastieBoys were one of the hit sounds of the 70's and were originally started by Mike D. Their mix of hip hop and funk brought their music originality and their witty lyrics continue to surprise everyone. They basically did what they wanted, when they wanted and didnt care about anybody elses opinions. Their are 15 tracks on the album. These are the names
1. To all the girls
2. Shake your rump
3. Johnny Ryall
4. Egg man
5. High plains drifter
6. Sounds of science
7. Three minute rule
8. Hey ladies
9. Five piece chicken dinner
10. Looking down the barrel of a gun
11. Car thief
12. What comes around
13. Shadrach
14. Ask for Janice
15. B boy bouillabaisse

Advantages: Could be used as background music. Disadvantages: No musical ability whatsoever is displayed here, the album is despicably tedious.
...With latest album 'The Mix-Up', BeastieBoys tread new ground in that it's the first album the band has ever released of all new instrumental material. Advantages: Sublime hip-hop; nice packaging; cool bonus CD Disadvantages: Several filler tracks
...The Beasties focus their attention once more on hip-hop in their 5th LP "Hello Nasty". Stretching to 22 songs lasting a total of 67 minutes, this album has many highs and a few lows. It's a polished effort and very easy for new fans to get into.
The most recognisable track is of course "Intergalactic", thanks to extensive play on radio and MTV, and it's a great song (check out the fantastic video as well!). However, "Three MC's and One DJ" is even better and gives Mix Master Mike a chance to show off on the decks. MMM is on prime form throughout "Hello Nasty", his first album with the Beasties. His beats make a perfect backdrop for the trio's highly entertaining rap, in particular Adrock's characteristic 'whine'.
The stand-out old skool tracks also include "Unite", "Super Disco Breakin'" and "The Move". Among the more instrumental...
