Aho: Symphonic Dances

...Ultimate Dirty Dancing is one of my favourite CD's, boasting all the songs from the film Dirty Dancing, in the order they appear on the screen. It even has the group sing-song, Kellermans Anthem; despite this being perhaps the weak link of the CD, especially if you bought it for musical reasons rather than after watching Dirty Dancing, if you've seen the film no doubt you'll know the words, and find yourself singing along anyway! If you've just watched the film and are in a dancy mood, its perfect to put on and dance to - because, as you see in the film, almost all of the songs are excellent to dance along to. Even if you dont feel like dancing, after listening to this for a while you wont be able to resist, especially if you're home alone, with no witnesses! ...I got this album as a christmas present last year, so im not sure how easy it is to get hold of. I do know that large music shops like Virgin or HMV have it in stock and it is also easily available online. Prices do range depending on where you go, the cheapest I've seen it for is £7.00 the most expensive was £12.00. This Album is from the 1987 movie Dirty Dancing, which starred Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze in the lead roles. The film is based on a holiday camp in 1963, where a young girl Frances (Baby) (played by Grey) falls in love with the camps leading dance teacher Johnny (played by Swayze). This is where a lot of the inspiration for the soundtrack has come from; the soundtrack brings back memories from the film.
