Advantages: Classic American Rock Disadvantages: None to mention
...It's one of those songs that comes on the radio. You like it, but don't ever catch, or remember who sang it. That was Bad Moon Rising.
But, when you find the band - Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR for short) you find more classics. Proud Mary is another timeless classic song on this album. CCR's treatment of I heard it through the grapevine is fantastic with a wonderful long guitar solo in the middle. Down on the Corner, Lodi and Looking out my back door will all have you singing along before too long!
If you like guitar music that you can sing along to then this is for you. A quality compilation of the best bits for those who want to dip their toes into the clearwater pool....

Advantages: A fantastic introduction to this exciting Lable Disadvantages: A few weak track
...this album is a must have far anyone who describes themselves as being in to hip hop, indi rock and dance music.
the remix team at DFA is headed up by the companys founders, James Murphy (aka LCD soundsystem) and ex-UNKLE member TIm Goldsworthy and together they crate wity, infectiously dancable and memrobale reworking of clasic songs from every genre, bringing there NY electro flavor to each one.
not only is this a good album but also a good introduction to the DFA as a lable. based in NY the DFA (death from above records, referd to as the DFA after a legal dispute with Death From Above 1979) are an elctronia and indi orientated lable who are at the cuting edge of musical cool. there roster includes bands like Hot Chip, LCD soundsystem, Black Dice, Nine inche nails, and many more.

This is bliss Review ofSelected Ambient Works Vol.1 1985-1992 - Aphex Twinby
eraserhead
Advantages: Better than a massage Disadvantages: One track... Ptolemy
...This album is a compilation of Aphex Twin's (aka Richard D. James) earliest works, mostly of beautiful, almost spiritual, techno. The title suggests that some of its tracks date back to 1985, when Richard was 14. Such early sign of genius explain why Richard has been compared to Mozart.
The overall tone is calm, making it an extraodinary "come-down" album. If you allow me to be a bit soppy, it's like that feeling you get when you leave a really banging club and you're sobering up, feeling emotional and yet you've still got those banging beats in your head. I think it sounds best on headphones at night, when you really appreciate the softly layered melodies, subliminal beats and (for lack of a better description) strange-noise-wash-undercurrents. It's also incredible whilst driving home late at night.
Admittedly, his youth...
