Akeldama - Faceless

Advantages: Heavy Metal with an edge.

...First and foremost, if you have seen the album, 'Make me beleive' is a song from the album, just a bit of a pun there. So your thinking about buying this album. Your stood in HMV with a shiny new copy of 'Faceless' by Godsmack, one of the few 'modern-traditional' metal bands left. First, look at the cover, personally I think its a great cover, and reflects the album name, it will look good in your CD rack. The overall sound of Godsmack is that of heavy metal, it makes you want to stand up, and jump up. Fantastic guitar riffs meet brilliant drumming, All tied together with the husky voice of Sully Erna. Its good for if you want some ambient metal (if there is such a thing), and its good to get people out of their chair at a party. Now, I'll go for a track breakdown. ...didn't get because someone showed him the wrong way.Can burst into life from just a melodic speech. 6.Faceless Man-Gulty consciounce here.Looked at his reflection and sees almost a faceless man that is himself.Every time from then on that he looks at that face it will remind him to always do what's right.That's what i think but it is kind of mixed up but it gets the brain cells working in places they have never done before. 7.Never die-There has or will be a moment in life where 'youth betrays itself to age'.Let's find it and relive our past and childhood are the words here.There is so much pressure in adult life lets forget our problems and live like a child because your youth will never die.Some hefty guitar at stages in this and it is a well thought out song,musically.Good build up... .... At their best Genesis were one of the most challenging and wonderful forces in rock and their first Gabriel-less stuff, A Trick Of The Tail, was quite promising but they soon went the way of all bland progressive bands - soft pop rock that's okay for the States but just won't cut it over here. Listen to Follow You Follow Me if you really wnat to know what I'm trying to get at, faceless pop for faceless and vapid people, God, you can fall asleep to this sort of stuff, I'm afraid.
