Just Wave Hello – Ford’s Global Anthem She sings this well but I don’t think much of it as a song, quite honestly. La Pastorella - from Soirées Musicales by Gioacchino Rossini Another piece of classical music. This is quite an exercise in seeing how she can move between octaves, and she does this with ease. Up, down, up down, etc!! She Moved Through the Fair – Traditional Irish Ballad This is in some ways quite like “My Langan Love”, which is also an Irish ballad. Again we have a harp, and the melodic, hauntingly beautiful voice of Charlotte. It is also reminiscent of Clannad and Enya, but I guess this is the style of song they sing. These types of songs remind me of walking amongst hills covered... Read review

Prelude - A Review

Advantages: A beautiful collection of songs
Disadvantages: One of two lower quality tracks

..., as there are sections of this song which are really uplifting. 'La Pastorella (Soirees Musicales)' is again a classical operatic piece. It has a real light and airy feel to it which compliments the very strong vocal performance. 'She Moved Through The Fair' is a beautiful Irish ballad. Every note soothes the senses and then uplifts them. I am starting to really get into this, and although my roots will always be in rock music, I think this is a natural alternative. Moving along to another world wide famous song with 'Ave Maria'. It is a song which converys so much emotion that you cannot fail to be touched by it.Here Charlotte's voice sounds like it belongs to a woman at least twice her age. 'Dream A Dream' is a duet with Billy Gilman who is also a soprano from what I can hear. The opening fifteen seconds of this track are so different from anything else... Read review

Advantages: A feast of great tracks to lose yourself in

..." which was composed by Paddy Moloney, and features Akiko Yano on vocal and piano. This track for me was the odd one out, I did not like it at first but it has grown on me. By the way it is nothing like Thin Lizzy's "Whisky in The Jar"! There are 14 tracks in all, featuring other equally well respected artists, The Corrs, The Rankins, Sissel, and Mary Chapin Carpenter. All the tracks arranged by Paddy Molony. If you like traditional Irish/folk music, you will like this album.... Read review
