Advantages: Bonus DVD With CD Disadvantages: Might not play in Region 2 DVD players
...Been a massive Dave Matthews Band fan I just had to send in another review.
Most of this album is also known as The Lillywhite Sessions and is up for grabs on thousands of internet sites and on multiple downloading engines. But the same songs on Busted Stuff have a much more crisper feeling.
Busted Stuff- A fairly good opener. It's kind of quiet but has a great tune. Seems about a lost girlfriend.
Grey Street- One of the best in DMB's repitoire and on the CD. It's upbeat, has great lyrics, and makes you want to get up and dance. This is probably the best song on the CD.
Where Are You Going- DMB's first single off this album. Nothing special here, just seems like album filler.
You Never Know- Sounds a little better in concert, but is kind of remincescent of Before These Crowded Streets. Great violin in this track.
Captain- It...

Advantages: Quality of playing by Harris and the guest musicians Disadvantages: The overuse of electric keyboards
...Stefon Harris has brought jazz vibes playing into the 21st Century, and for that he deserves some credit, especially since he has done so as a leader and not merely in a decorative background role.
On this recording with the group Blackout, he mixes jazz with material calculated to appeal to a wider audience. This is reflected in his choice of cover material: Sting's "Until" and George Gershwin's evergreen "Summertime" are here along with fellow vibist BobbyHutcherson's "Montara".
It has to be said the mix is not an entire success. The CD begins well, and there are pleasant exchanges between the tuned percussion and the guest musicians, particularly Anne Drummond on flute, on the early tracks. "For Him, For Her" is the best example of this, and there's also some clever piano work to ensure that the version of "Until" is a success...
