Al's Records Vol.1 - Various Artists

...Brill album, much better than the first Radio one live lounge album. All tracks have been previously played on the radio one live lounge with Joe Willie, but I never get a chance to listen to them all first time they are on the radio, so its nice to hear them all. Some tracks really funny and are all by well-known artist's. The artists and bands either record alternative recordings of there own songs or ones by other artists, which is really interesting. I really love the Amy winehouse - Valerie its a slower version and is really good. It features allot of the top 40 bands and gives you a chance of hearing unusual tracks that you would not normally hear from such band albums. Highly Recommended.... Read review

Advantages: Great acoustic music
Disadvantages: some tracks are not how you know them

...I don't often listen to Radio 1, but this one time I did, they were playing only tracks recorded in the live lounge - And I Loved It. the songs were not remastered and you could hear the lyrics and music without all the extras that make some people buy their tracks. The copies by artists of other artists songs are of superb quality, and some really make it their own. When I listen to them I just love the fact that they are live recordings with no additionals. Its great that artists are comfortable with singing live, acoustic, and other peoples songs. By listening to the tracks you can tell which artists can sing and which artists definately need to remaster their tracks to sell their singles/albums. Or which need to lip synch for their live gigs. I'll let you make up your own mind who you think these artists are out of artists like... Read review

Advantages: great mix of diffrent artists
Disadvantages: dosent include some of the new artists around today

...from track 1 you will love this album including performances from biggie. all the artists on this album have performed in the lyrisist lounge which i believe to be in new york. alot of tracks on this seem less commercial and more underground which in my opinion is a good thing because it brings you something fresh and original. this album is produced by the record label rawcus records over all it is well worh the buy and i guarantee you will never get bored of this. the cover and inlay also offer some very fresh graphics and pics and give a detailed description of the artists producers and the lyrisist lounge itself ive had this album for 4 years now and still listen to it regularly....
