Advantages: Just listen!
Disadvantages: Could maybe be a little longer? Only 30-ish minutes long.

...is topped off by an unexpected recording of "Out With The Control", which many will realise is actually a reggae version of the song Human, complete with Andres' fantastic attempt at a Jamaican accent! The album was somewhat late being released, due to a number of issues, including changes to the line-up of the band. The original line-up (at least, from when there was a full band) consisted of Andres Lefevre on Vocals, Rob Hoey on Guitar, Jim Wilson on Bass, and Ross McFarlane on drums. This is in fact the line-up which recorded the album, but shortly after, drummer Ross McFarlane decided to leave the band, to persue his family and career. He was replaced by the incredible Mel "Diablo" Stewart. Since the departure of Ross, MPC have also lost Guitarist Rob Hoey, for different reasons. Still, eventually the album was released. Betty ain't blue for these guys
Review of Paris Kills - 69 Eyes by goth_tart

Advantages: excellent gothic rock, nice cover artwork
Disadvantages: not as catchy or upbeat as Blessed Be and Devils

...Hot on the heels of the rather splendid Blessed Be comes the follow-up, Paris Kills. The songs aren't as memorable and it's more difficult to pick out the strong tracks although Betty Blue (a hommage to the erotic French film and its star Beatrice Dalle) was a hit in their native Finland. On the whole, Paris Kills is a lot slower than Blessed Be whilst Jyrki still manages to retain his ball-dropping deep vocals and the overall mood of the CD is dark and gloomy. Don't turn Your Back on Fear is my favourite track - it's a catchy little dark rock ditty with a sing-a-long chorus. It's a good album for completists otherwise save your pennies for Blessed Be or Devils.... Read review

Easy to listen to

Advantages: Popular with everybody
Disadvantages: No information in the booklet

...When I recieved this CD, I was sceptical as to whether it would be any good or not, any fears were banished when I listened to it. It's a cover album with songs on it such as 'The Passenger' by Iggy Pop,'Trust In Me' as featured in Disney's 'Jungle Book' and surprisingly, 'Hall of Mirrors' by Kraftwerk. The hommage paid to bands like The Doors with 'You're lost little girl' or Billie Hollyday with 'Strange fruit' or to Television with 'Little johnny jewel' is made with subtility. The album succeeds to interpret each of the songs and injecting them with a little Siouxsie charm without making approximative copies of the original songs. In general, I've found that I can listen to this album when chilling out or when I'm in the mood to sing along to something. I've also found that I can easily put this CD on when I have friends round and it... Read review
