Advantages: Variety, Superior Material, Showmanship Disadvantages: Will Country Radio Respond?
...The latest offering from Hal Ketchum is one of his best. Top songcrafting and performance have always been Ketchum hallmarks, sometimes at the expense of commercial viability. As an artist Ketchum has always felt free to share his influences, from blues and R&B to folk to thundering rock licks. This time, he's got it all---there are several prospects for hit singles on this CD. "The Alamo," ("That's a pretty good place to make a stand") released in the US as a duet with LeAnn Rimes, has tons of potential to become a country classic. The title track is already a line dance favorite, even prior to its official US release. Advantages: Absolutely Stunning Guitar based debut Disadvantages: Requires concentration and committment

Advantages: Great country and western music Disadvantages: None
.... The songs on this particular C.D I would probably think may not be the best he’s ever done, but never the less I’ve listened to them over and over again and they have grown on me. And so to ‘One step at a time’, a ten track album.
1. I just want to dance with you. 2. One step at a time.
3. True 4. Remember the Alamo.
5. Maria. 6. We really shouldn’t be doing this.
7. Why not now. 8. That’s the breaks.
9. Neon row 10. You haven’t left me yet.
My favourites.. At three. I just want to dance with you. (Roger Cook, John Prine)
A song that moves...
