How Does She Know You Love Her?
Review of Enchanted - Various Artists by  jesi

Advantages: Hear the songs and specially written score again! Sing along!
Disadvantages: Songs separated from the score; you need to program CD player to relive experience.

...-hole. The remaining five blue flower-print design pages with tiny white writing feature the lyrics of the first five tracks, with copyright and production credits; Titles of the nine tracks of Original Score Composed and Produced by Alan Merken; title and production lists for track 15 ("That's Amore"); and a list of names of the 'Various Artists" who made up the Chorus Vocals, with full musical credits and special thanks on the back page The Back Cover Insert of the Plastic box has inset portraits of Amy Adams as Giselle, James Marsden as Prince Edward, Patrick Dempsey as Robert Philip, and Carrie Underwood. Wells, Welles, well!
Review of War Of The Worlds, The - Various Artists by  jimblob

Advantages: Great listening,Richard Burton.
Disadvantages: None (though perhaps a bit dated for the younger listener)

...On October 30th, 1938, Orson Welles directed a radio play about an invasion from mars, the play was an adaptation of the sci-fi novel by HG Wells “The War of the Worlds”. Orson Welles decided to direct the play as if it were a live news broadcast and despite telling the listener before the play began, and again at various times throughout the play that it was not a real news broadcast but a radio play, thousands of Americans packed the roads, or hid in their cellars convinced that aliens were invading from Mars. Forty years later a new adaptation of the book came out, this time a musical album conceived and written by Jeff Wayne. An all star cast brought credibility to the venture and War of the Worlds became a huge smash, producing great songs like Forever Autumn, sung by Justin Hayward (of the Moody Blues... Read review

The Celtic Collection
Review of Celtic Collection, The - Various Artists by  JezM

Advantages: Beautiful and atmospheric
Disadvantages: Too short and not for everybody

...of classical with occasionally a bit of folk and sometimes some (very) soft rock, all depending on the artist(s)/composer(s). This isn't necessarily what it is, but I feel it's a good way to give you an impression of what Celtic music is. This album consists of what is dubbed as "The Celtic Collection". I don't really know any other Celtic music other than what's on this album so this may be some of the best Celtic tracks every composed. It is a compilation of some truly impressive tunes from some great artists. THE TRACKS 1 - James Galway & Phil Coulter - Callin Na Gruaige Baine - The intro to the album is a slow, calm, with quite strings and some calm but good singing. As the title suggests, this isn't in English but that adds to the effect. What you'll find is that some of the better tracks are those that don't have English lyrics... Read review
