Advantages: Superb graphics for a handheld, fast and smooth, 40+ tournaments Disadvantages: Collisions are still a bit duff, A.I. is nothing to write home about
Playing RidgeRacer really rams home just how far handheld gaming has come in such a short time. As a technical showpiece for the PSP, it?s a hugely impressive launch title and more importantly, feels completely at home on a portable. It makes for an exhilarating arcade racing experience, rekindling memories of a golden era when Namco?s flagship racer was at the forefront of console gaming.
Rather than an out and out new instalment, RidgeRacer consists mostly of elements featured in previous instalments of the franchise. It has two tracks from each of the four original PlayStation incarnations as well as the arcade-only Rave Racer, plus two new ones adapted from this game. So, if you?ve been counting that?s a dozen racetracks, plus a dozen more thanks to the as-ever amply used reverse courses. Almost without exception the tracks are ...
Advantages: That it is a racing game Disadvantages: That when you are bored you get even more bored when you are 12th place
Ridgeracer
Welcome to my review about ridgeracer (PSP), it is a very good game for racing and it has very easy controls. I am a big fan of racing games and this one is very good for playing. The popular ridgeracer series hasn't yet lost its touch when it comes to the production for the PSP, the gameplay stays up after all these years and the game Makes you want to play it again so it is not very addictive but some people like it more than I do so they get more addictive than me!!!!.
It makes you to pay attention to the race and you get addicted to it when you have just started the race. It has a lot of detail that makes the game good, it is playable. The game is very easy so you should not lose. You can discover how to start the game and play before you see the. There are lots of version of this game of other game consoles ...
Advantages: Fast paced racing game. Excellent graphics. Disadvantages: Dodgy music
When i first purchased my PSP, i bought RidgeRacer as my first game. I now realise what a brilliant purchase i made. The game keeps you coming back for more after every single race. As you progress through the game, you get access to more exciting cars and more exciting tracks.
From the moment you start the race, you see the quality of the graphics. This really shows off the PSP's power. I will actually say this is probably the best racing game i have ever played.
The 'World tour' choice allows you to tour the world, hence the name, gathering new cars and gaining access to the new tracks.
My only problem with this game is the repetitive dance music that is constant and the annoying man that comments every time i go round a corner.
After a while of playing the game i tend to find myself leaning from one side to another as ...
