Advantages: Dark and moody, fantastic debut, different to most other things on the market Disadvantages: Slightly dragged-out
...This album really is one that reaches out and touches you. This is a moody, dark masterpiece.
THe band consists of Jon Harris, Ian MacLaren, Richie Mills, Shane Goodwin and Flatline (no explanation for the awful name though), but all these are accompanied by others for various tracks and they all play various instruments, for example, lead singer Jon Harris is also credited to playing guitar, bass guitar and also drums. This is a very talented group of people. Another interesting note is that the Harris family seems to all be in on tha act, with Tim Harris drumming, and Sophie Harris playing the cello on one of the tracks.
The album kicks off with the hate-filled anthem for all Sunna fans that is 'I'm Not Trading'. This is a song that takes a few listens to get used to but anybody who has heard it will often be heard shouting ''I...

Advantages: great singles Disadvantages: Some mediocre songs
...Everything must go is the Manic street Preachers sugar coated, I will not
]go as far to say that they turned pop but this album certainly shows the
transformational effect Richie’s death had on the band, from relative
obscurity the became the biggest band form Wales and charted No 1 album
success and No 1 singles success. There are several good songs on the album,
noteably the singles Design for life and the title track Everything must go.
However they lack the infectious zeal of the holy bible, Richie is dead the
Manics go on more popular....

Advantages: Richie has been able to get out of the Bon Jovi limelight and prove his worth Disadvantages: Not as good as Undiscovered Soul
...This album is the first of two which Bon Jovi lead guitarist Richie Sambora has penned. It consists of 10 tracks all of which Richie has either written or co-written and the artists that he has colaberated with are the likes of, David Bryan (Bon Jovi Keyboard player, and composer of the musical Memphis), Tom Morolda, Bruce Foster (Shark Attack), Desmond Child (Livin' on a Prayer, Bad Medicine, Keep the Faith) and Dianne Warren (Wild is the Wind.) And the whole album is produced by Neil Dorfman along with richie himself.
So what you can expect is a similar sound to Bon Jovi, but the one key difference is that Richie has been able to prove that he isn't just a phenominal guitar player. He is able to right songs and perfom without the rest of the band.
The album starts with a melodic opening in 'The Answer' which to be totally...

Advantages: He Has A Better Voice Than His Boss Disadvantages: Like All Solo Efforts Stemming From Bon Jovi, This Lacks Vision And Direction
...This is Richies second solo album effort and follows the same format as ‘Stranger In Town’ albeit with a slight more laid back grace to it. To people with musical ears Richie has got a better voice than his boss Jon Bon Jovi and this album is streets ahead of JBJ’s ‘Destination Anywhere’ album. Having said that it does not have the same x-factor appeal that makes the majority of Bon Jovis work really exhilarating.
‘Hard Times Don’t Come Easy’ has a great groove to it. ‘Fallen From Graceland’ is dull and shows the lack of direction and focus Sambora suffers when plying his own trade. He has a rich voice, good musicianship, but the delivery lacks any vision. ‘If God Was A Woman’ is much betters and ‘Your Not Alone’ would work well as a JBJ single...
