Advantages: beautiful music to a great film, very touching, cheap Disadvantages: carelessly made booklet, weird extra track
of gold and red as
you can see in the picture. The writing "Alexander - Original Motion Picture
Soundtrack by Vangelis" looks like gold, with the words "Alexander" and "Vangelis"
being bigger than the rest.
The back of the CD has the tracklist on it, next to a picture of Alexander in battle on
his horse.
The booklet is basicly a long piece of paper folded four times. On the first page there
is a photgraph of Vangelis with the information that all the music has been composed,
arranged, produced and performed by him. In the lower corner of this pages we
get some more information on people who contributed to the songs because
some other instruments played by other musicians are featured in a few tracks.
There is also information on the recording staff and studio,
On the next two pages the tracks are listed again and there is more information ...
Advantages: The most powerful Batman score ever composed; an Elfman classic all the way Disadvantages: So what if it isn't the most sophisticated score in the world?
of the basic characteristics that define his music, namely quirky rhythms, diverse percussion, and simply out-of-the-wall weirdness. Many other contemporary composers were baffled at exactly how to react to the highly original man, with admiration or digust? In 1989 however, the perception of Elfman changed drastically.

With Prince taking care of the song-part of the movie, Elfman would employ the use of a large symphony orchestra of gothic ...
Advantages: A chance to see three of the best actors ever, together. Disadvantages: See opinion.
The Score undoubtedly wins the unnecessary film award and deserves to be remembered only for bringing together the three best method actors of their generations, namely; Brando, De Niro and Norton. I call the film unnecessary, because why on earth do we need another crime/thriller movie with Brando or De Niro when we already have The Godfather, Casino and Goodfellas to name a few. The Score just covers old ground and doesn’t even do it that well anyway, with both stars doing similar roles in better movies. Edward Norton is the only actor with an argument for being in this film, and even he is already worthy of better things than shoddy heist movies. For Gods sake! the guy was in Fight Club and American History X, he doesn’t have to appear in this shameless showcase of talent.
The Score is basically just a distant ...
