Alfonso X : Cantigas de Santa Maria

...Brilliant album... Zach de la Rocha and chums at their greatest. It has some really classy tracks on, notably Sleep Now in the Fire, Guerilla Radio, Maria, Mic Check, Testify... In fact, there isnt a bad song on the entire album. Zach de la Rocha's explosive vocals bring it all alive, and dont let the fac that it is only made with guitar, bass, drums, and vocals put you off, coz it only makes it better. Listen to this, and you'll think that Limp Bizkit is a bit of a ponce, cheating with all his sound FX. At times, however, I would liek it if perhaps Mr de la Rocha would go a bit more mad, and shout just a tad louder. But I'm sure he does that live, but now he's left RATM, it looks like I won't ever see him live, so I'll never know... I am told that the original album is better, but I have it, and in my opinion, this one beats... Read review

...This has to be the best album Ricky Martin has ever made. It is full of great songs and doesnt have that allied carpet appeal that some of his other albums do!! The title track, Vuelve which losely translated means come back, is a sad love song about someone pining over their lost love, there are some other beautiful ballads like 'Corazonado' (Hopeful) and 'Hagamos el Amor' (Lets make love) on the album, not to mention 'La Copa de La Vida/The Cup of Life in both its spanish and spanglish format and also Maria. There is a strong latin vibe on this album and it most dfinatley a feel good record. And dont worry if you dont understand any spanish as this album is good either way.... Read review

...Last year Carlos Santana won at the Grammy's with his single Smooth. The album Supernatural is no exception. With fantastic songs such as Maria Maria, Smooth etc. which have both been hit singles, the music on this album is fantastic! The lyrics are awesome, with Maria Maria coming out tops - "Oh, Maria Maria, she reminds mem of a west side story, growing up in Spanish Harlem, she's living the life just like a movie star, Oh, Maria Maria!" etc. etc. There are guest appearances including mary J Blige, Rob Thomas.
