All aboard the Tesco train

Advantages: Cheap, well made, compatible with other brands
Disadvantages: none i can see

I have 6 young nephews all are train mad and the all have the ELC train sets. You know the ones I mean wooden tracks and engines that cost a fortune. Well come Chritmas and birthdays buying for them all is a nightmare so i usually end up getting them additions to their trainsets but find the early learning ones a bit pricy, a single engine is around £5 and a set of 4 wooden people will se you back £4. So while doing me grocery shopping I decided to stop off at the toy secion in Tesco to see if there was anything suitable for nephew who was turning 3 years old. It was here I discovered that Tesco do a wooden train set which is compatible with other brands. After very close inspection I decided it looked just as good quality as the ELC and for a fraction of the price. On this occasion I bought a zoo train which included an engine, 3 ...

If you go down to the woods today....

Advantages: Some amazing songs
Disadvantages: A few not so good ones, hard to get hold of

of characters all on a bright red train, and that is something I have only just noticed. From the Laughing Policeman sat up front, with the Ugly Ducking crying into a blue hanky, the Big Bad Wolf peers around the side, and Nellie the Elephant aboard too, I assume she is returning to Bombay like the song says. A swarm of Bees (The Bee Song), a Hippo (The Hippopotamus song) and The Owl and the Pussy Cat are also travelling, with a cheeky looking Teddy Bear on his way to the picnic. Then there are three people confusing me, OK actually make that two now, just worked out the man in the Busby is from Buckingham Palace. But there is a crazy man, who looks a little like my uncle Paul, who now thinking about it is trying to catch a Boomerang that Won?t come back. All aboard the runaway mine train

Advantages: A classic Disney ride, fun for almost everyone, can Fastpass
Disadvantages: Queues and isn't exactly white knuckle!

got involved. They dug out tunnels and set up tracks for their mine trains unknowing that the mountain was infact cursed by native Americans. Before long the mountain and nearby town got hit by flash floods and was abandoned. Many years later the mountain was discovered with the mine trains racing around the tracks without passengers or a driver. Big Thunder Mountain is also commonly refered to as 'the runaway train' for this reason. The rock looks quite authentic but is quite obviously man made. The rocks (and the queueing area) are covered by old wooden barrels, empty wagons, rusty wheels and cogs, cactus and the train track is made to look old and worn out. There is also a big lake which surrounds the ride. The front of the train looks like a rusty old steam train and has 5 carriages which hold 15 rows of seats. Each row of seats ...
