Advantages: free DVD with josh cam, and video previews Disadvantages: none
...After seeing this band live at the astoria in london I was glad to see that they had a live dvd out. And it was all i expected, jokes talent and warren fitzgerald dancing around in not much.
A huge set from one of orange counties best punk bands, the eclectic guitars, comedy vocals and the tight drumming of one of the best in the world josh freese. Over 7 cameras capture this live show, including the josh cam which lets you view the josh for the whole show. highlights include pizza tran where josh gives a high five to dave whilst still playing. also the vocal and guitar harmonies during my brain tells my body adds a touch of class to this set. the drum solo during behind the music just tops off the album completely showing that josh is still one of the best in the business. and the encore of "I have a date" shows that live is where...

Advantages: Brilliant blend of music creating the best of R.E.M. Disadvantages: A CD can only last so long
....E.M. This is the one that changed R.E.M. from a small cult band touring the states to world fame and glammer. What can you really say about this song? Its amazing and its one of those songs you listen to and you just feel good.
7)E-Bow Letter
A nice quite song, its heart warming. Beautiful soothing lyrics sung in a lovely moment accompanied by slow guitars and violins. This song is beautiful, there no other way to describe it.
8)Orange Crush
Wehey, I feel the urge to jump up and dance around come over me again. Lyrics make no sense at all(Not even the band know what their about), this song is just great. With a guitar riff that will stay in you head all day and eary, but never the less good singing.
9)Imitation Of Life
One of the Popiest things that R.E.M. have song, its got the sound to it that the entire album reveal has to it(Reveal is the album...

Advantages: British Indie Music at it's finest, unique Disadvantages: Very unheard of, slightly unusual style - sounds slightly dated when compared to new British Indie Music
.... Excellent guitaring, tight perfomances from allband members and good vocals - open up the album just as you'd want - with a bang - but not too much that it's all down hill from there like on some albums of similar ilk.
"Love Slug" is another fine track - for me it has a real funky feel to it - a theme that Orange Deluxe seem to have running through many of their tracks - it adds another dimension to their style of Indie music. It was a bit of a marmite track for me when I first heard it - I wasn't really a fan - but it seemed to grow on me more and more each time I heard it. Listen to it a few times and before you know it you'll be sat at work singing "I'm a love slug - I love to love...." :-)
"Whole Sioux Nation" - I don't think I've ever heard a track sound so "Doors-ish" and not be by the Doors!! lol! It's certainly a great track - very...

Advantages: A great set of different tracks Disadvantages: That it has reached the Pop Charts
....Jay Popoff - Vocal
Jeremy Popoff - Guitars
Kevin Baldes - Bass
Allen Shellenberger - Drums
The Band Lit formed in Orange County, CA in 1990 around Vocalist A. Jay Popoff , his guitarist brother Jeremy , bassist Kevin Baldes and drummer Allen Shellenberger . After many years of sell out gigs at local venues like the noted Club 369 in Fullerton, in the spring of 1997 Lit issued their debut album Tripping the Light Fantastic ; the record became a college radio hit and landed the group at RCA , which released A Place in the Sun two years later...

...I have a deep rooted love of late 1960's American music, with flaky front men singing soppy love songs over heavy basslines and scratchy guitars. When some of these bands, like the Turtles and the Beach Boys among others, began to leave the chords ringing out, with the bass player wandering all over the fretboard, a new style of "heavy" music appeared; from there it was but a short step to psychadelia and heavy rock. This album comprises all three styles!
The Lemon Pipers were a US outfit who had a massive hit with "Green Tambourine" in 1967 and folded up barely two years later. This is a CD comprised of the two albums that the band recorded for that old hippie label Buddah Records in their short career, Green Tambourine (1967) and Jungle Marmalade (1968).
Together with Buddah labelmates 1910 Fruitgum Company...
