Advantages: Very well written, Tristan and The Libertine Disadvantages: Not as fast or heavy if thats what your expecting
...really have any complaints about the song.
Apparition - Another short linking song.
Ghost Song - A good string arrangement, showcasing Patrick's talent for song construction. Well written and very atmospheric.
This Weather - Not a song I have listened to that much I have to admit, but it is a good song, again well constructed and captures the gypsy feel of the album.
Jacobs Ladder - Another short song, but this time showing great vocals and good songwriting.
Tristan - Along with 'The Libertine' the other stand out track on the album, a little bit faster than the rest of the album. The vocals are excellent on this track and show what Patrick is all about.
Eulogy - Another very short song, which contributes to the album well.
Lands End - The longest song on the album at 7 minutes 7. Has an upbeat feel to it and captures the gypsy feel...

Advantages: Soaring, sweeping alternative rock Disadvantages: A couple of weak tracks ruin the overall effect
...‘Title of Record’ is Filter’s second album, the follow up to 1995’s disappointing ‘Short Bus’. In the four years between albums the band has lost one of it’s founding members, Brian Liesegang and lead singer/guitarist Richard Patrick lost his long term girl friend, the spectre of which hangs over this album.
Richard Patrick was an early live guitarist with Nine Inch Nails and the influence of his old band was all over the bands debut which all too frequently sounded more like 4 ½ Inch Nails. Advantages: An easy to listen to, fun album Disadvantages: Not as much electronic influence, more poppy
...ever. A very good way to start the album with very good vocals.
The Magic Position - The title song of the album, a very upbeat danceable song that oozes the happiness this album is all about.
Accident & Emergency - Another upbeat pop number, with a little more electro in it. One of the best songs on the album in my opinion.
The Bluebell - A short intro to 'Bluebell', nonetheless a very nice intro.
Bluebell - My personal favourite on the album, with lots of piano and very strong emotive vocals it is one of the best songs Patrick has written.
Magpie - A slow, poignant duet with Marianne Faithful, it is a very well constructed song and has a lot of emotion within it, a very good song. This song begins a change of pace for the album as it goes a bit slower for a few songs after.
X - At under a minute it is just a linking song...
