...Coldplay have recently made their appearance in the UK with their debut single Yellow. The video is very low budget, all it entails is the rather ugly lead singer walking along a beach singing the song wearing the world's worst anorak. But I suppose that the group did not know how well their song was going to do so the poor quality video can be excused... But the song itself is catchy. It is not the type of music that I would usually listen to, some guy with a bad accent singing about Yellow stuff (well not exactly). However although I seem to be complaining about it, it is really quite good. And incredibly popular....

...to pieces ("...are we still recording?"). Although to be fair, there's a sophisticated, jazzy feel to some tracks, like Has It Come To This? In a pop industry dominated by Pop Idol and Fame Academy, this is bold and groundbreaking. There are no punches pulled, and if it's grit you're after, here's a tonne of it. There's perhaps a touch too much of the 'geezer' about it all - a bit too much swagger - but overall, it's superb. By comparison, Eminem's street liturgies, full of 'guns, ho's and bitches' are frankly tedious. Given the right breaks, you have to suspect that this guy Skinner will go on to make something really awesome. Watch this space.

Advantages: A must for any rocker. Disadvantages: Album ends too soon.
...If you love rock then this album is a must for your collection.
There are no bad tracks on this album from the aussie rockers. This is there most successful album to date.
It is the first album they made after the death of there lead singer, Bon Scott, but the replacement Brian Johnson is just as good.
The band is made up of Phil Rudd on drums, Malcolm Young on rythymn guitar, Brian Johnson on lead vocals, Cliff Williams on bass guitar and of course Angus Young on lead guitar.
